Yeni Chin serves as the Advocate Coordinator & Membership Care Support at Every Mother’s Advocate (ĒMA), where she helps equip Advocates and strengthen the relationships that make the organization’s mission possible. From onboarding new Advocates and supporting active volunteers to coordinating engagement opportunities for moms, Yeni helps ensure the people walking alongside mothers feel welcomed, prepared, and cared for every step of the way.

A typical day might include onboarding conversations with new Advocates, checking in with current volunteers, coordinating upcoming engagement events, or supporting the broader volunteer community. For Yeni, the most meaningful part of her role is investing in the people who invest in moms. “There’s something so fulfilling about setting someone up for success and then watching their passion for this work come through, seeing the genuine kindness in their hearts.”

Yeni’s journey with ĒMA began as an Advocate after hearing about the organization through her church. “I felt called by God to be part of this organization,” she shares. “My own lived experience with hardship showed me firsthand what it means to need support and hope.” Today, she is grateful to continue living out that calling by equipping Advocates, strengthening relationships, and helping ensure mothers receive the support they need. She describes her journey as “the work of God, and God alone.”

One story that continues to reaffirm Yeni’s work came from an Advocate who shared how a mom she had been walking alongside began supporting another mother in need. Watching that transformation—from receiving support to offering it to someone else—reminded Yeni of the lasting ripple effect of ĒMA’s relational model. “Hearing stories like that reaffirms my conviction every time—it’s confirmation that this work is vital, important, and truly life-changing.”

Known for bringing joy and laughter to the team, Yeni keeps the workday fun by singing her emails out loud, narrating everyday tasks in funny voices, and sharing GIFs that keep her coworkers smiling.
